Overview
A Member-Based Organization
The People’s Development Forum (PDF) is a member-based, African-founded and African-led organization registered under the Tanzanian NGO Act of 2002. Our governance model ensures that decision-making is transparent, participatory, and aligned with our mission to tackle the root causes of poverty and exclusion.
Governance Structure
- Annual General Assembly (AGA) – The supreme decision-making body, meets annually to approve audited financial statements, review organizational performance, and elect the Board of Directors.
- Board of Directors – Provides strategic direction, fiduciary oversight, and risk management.
- Executive Leadership – Led by the Executive Director and Senior Management Team, responsible for operational and programmatic delivery in line with Board decisions .

- Review and approve budgets, policies, and audited financial statements
- Oversee risk management and compliance with NGO Act and donor requirements
- Strengthen stakeholder engagement and represent PDF externally
